Hi, I’m Steven Brahney, and if you know me from my first business, FixAsphalt.com, you might wonder why, at 50 years old, I decided to start not only a second businesss but something entirely new—Buzzworthy Roofing & Siding. The answer lies in a lifetime of connections, values, and a drive to make a difference, not just in business but in the lives of others.
A Deep Connection to Home
Born and raised in Avon-by-the-Sea, NJ, I’ve always felt deeply rooted in Monmouth County. It’s where I learned the value of community through volunteering, where my wife and I are raising two incredible daughters, and where summers are spent making memories as a close-knit family in Shark River Hills NJ.
My youngest is a student at St. Rose High School, and my oldest is thriving at High Point University. My wife, a local realtor and travel agent, shares my love for this community. Together, we’ve built a life centered on family, faith, and helping others.
From Commercial Success to a Personal Mission
For over 20 years, I’ve run FixAsphalt.com, a commercial paving company that’s trusted by Fortune 500 companies, large property management firms and national retailers across the country. It’s been an incredible journey, but as I hit 50—a milestone that makes you reflect—I realized I wanted to take on a new challenge, something that would allow me to help people in a more personal way.
That’s when it hit me: Home exteriors.

As a contractor, I’m often the go-to person in social settings when friends or acquaintances have home-related issues. Time and again, I noticed the same problem: People were struggling to find trustworthy, transparent, and reliable roofing and siding contractors. I knew I could change that.

Because this isn’t my primary source of income, I’m able to reinvest heavily in Buzzworthy Roofing & Siding. What’s With the Name?
The name “Buzzworthy” has roots in my Irish heritage—my ancestors were beekeepers. Bees are vital to our ecosystem, just as trust and reliability are essential to home improvement. To honor this connection, we’re developing a program to support pollinator organizations and give back to the environment that sustains us all.
